Hydraulic thumb attachment fits John Deere 26G, 27D & HitachiZX27 Excavators

THIS ITEM IS THE HYDRAULIC THUMB ATTACHMENT ONLY NOT THE ENTIRE EXCAVATOR!! RCM is excited to announce the release of a new hydraulic thumb attachment for John Deere 27D, Hitachi ZX27. This kit is for machines that already have a factory mount for the hydraulic cylinder on the boom. This is a pin on style setup.

This is a complete thumb kit including USA quality designed thumb designed. This thumb has two 3/4 thick AR400 steel tines this steel is made to last and will hold up to years of use. Our thumbs are specifically designed to fold up and out of the way when not in use. This thumb folds up well under 12, thats less than or tighter to the boom than even the factory designed models. Our thumbs also have over 130 degrees of rotational angle for maximum possible use. This kit comes with; thumb assembly, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic quick connect couplers, (2) 90-degree hydraulic elbows, (2) hydraulic hoses, (2) hydraulic cylinder pins, and a high strength main pin. The only item needed to install is thread tape. We also send out clear installation instructions with all orders. This thumb is for standard stick, it doesn't work on the extenda stick or long arm.

The hydraulic cylinder also utilizes side ports so that the hoses connect out of the way. All pins are included with this kit, the longer main pin is made from high strength steel, HT4140, turned ground and polished. USA steel to the exact dimension. Grease fittings are provided at all pivoting locations and nested for protection from and material collision that may occur during use. We do not center drill out our main pins for a grease fitting.

We do not center drill main pins due to frequent breakages, these pins are longer and with a hole drilled in the center, the chances of them breaking significantly increase. Instead we have grease fittings in the thumb bushings, and we highly recommend, for these machines that you drill and install a grease fitting in the boom knuckle. This is the best method. This kit is designed for the John Deere brand bucket if you have a different brand bucket or quick connect please call first for dimension review. This kit is not for extendahoe or long arm machines! This kit is a great value, while offering incredible quality and design.
